About JZ

Jeanette Zhu (also known as JZ) is a designer, illustrator, and ceramicist who creates aesthetic art for the soul.

Her work focuses on the mundane yet fascinating experiences of modern life, inviting the audience to find connection on difficult topics, discover new perspectives on existing concepts, and reflect on what it means to be alive and be human. Mental health, emotional struggle, and pop culture are common themes in her work.

Jeanette’s art style is vibrant and whimsical, characterized by its use of bright colors, bold lines, cute characters, and fantastical elements. She works with several digital and analog mediums, including animations, computer graphics, and clay.

From an early age, Jeanette has had an affinity for the arts. Her start on social media was driven by a desire to create content that was a genuine expression of herself and focused on topics she cared about. In addition to art and ceramics, she enjoys fashion, pole dancing, rapping, gaming/esports, binging TV/movies/anime, and daydreaming about alternate timelines.
